Solar powered automatic gates are probably the ultimate in convenience. Powered by battery there is no need to worry when the mains goes out and no need to run power cables.
WARNING ABOUT SOLAR POWERED GATES
There is a tendency in the automatic gate industry to simply slap together a motor, control board, solar panel and battery and call it a kit at a bargain price. Now we all love a bargain but bargains in the solar power arena can often mean non performance and failure. The problem with this is that most of us buy an automatic gate for convenience and security. When the system fails it is certainly not very "convenient" but if locked at the time it may be secure.
Solar Powered Automatic Gate Kits
Solar powered automatic swing gates are available in both swing and sliding gate kits. Our solar gate kit is a low cost kit and comes complete with solar panel and 7AH battery and has an upgraded control board. The battery included with the kit is suitable for normal domestic traffic and will provide power for a small number of days without sunshine. To achieve a greater amount of time simply increase your battery capacity or consider purchasing the SOLARASA600-1 with larger motor and battery capacity.
